    Background Information

This Southern Chinese martial art originally know as  "gǔ xiá yì chuan "Ancient Chivalrous Fist". Fut Sao was the inner Gate system taught to the inside Abbots whom integrated its concepts with the five elder surviving arts. This style was brought to the United States by Grandmaster Henry Leung. To honor his late teacher, Shaolin Abbot Hsu Yun (also known as "Gao Ghi Fut Sao"), Grandmaster Leung incorporated his Sifu's name into the name of the art and named it Buddha Hand (Fut Sao ) Wing Chun. It has the aggressive, springy power for which all Wing Chun is known, but has retained the soft, internal components usually associated with martial arts such as Tai Chi Chuan, Hsing I and Ba Gua. Master James Cama received full transmission of the style from Grandmaster Leung and was named Third generation inheritor of the style.
